A few days ago a brother-in-the-Lord in San Francisco sent me a text regarding several verses in the Bible that seemed to be troubling, they were not like the ones that I have known for many years. I didn't think much of it because I thought that maybe the writer of a particular translation could have misinterpreted what the original verse said.
NIV - Isa 11:6 - The wolf will live with the lamb, the leopard will lie down with the goat, the calf and the lion and the yearling together; and a little child will lead them.
KJV - The wolf also shall dwell with the lamb, and the leopard shall lie down with the kid; and the calf and the young lion and the fatling together; and a little child shall lead them.
MSG - The wolf will romp with the lamb, the leopard sleep with the kid. - This one is taking quite a "poetic" license.
I always remembered this verse as the lion will lie down with the lamb, etc.
But it didn't really trouble me that nowadays it is written differently. However, even the hard drive versions have been changed.
Another one he mentioned was KJV Matt 18:20 - For where two or three gather in my name, there am I with them. The NIV says the same thing. I always remembered that it said "Wherever two or more are gathered in My name...." Okay, no big deal, why worry about such an inconsequential thing, so I thought.
Then today he sent me some other verses. KJV - ISA 45:14 - Surely God is in thee; and there is none else, there is no God. Could it be just poor editing? But then KJV - Luke 17:34 - I tell you, in that night there shall be two men in one bed; the one shall be taken, and the other shall be left. Then KJV - Job 21:24 - His breasts are full of milk, and his bones are moistened with marrow. These were undoubtedly written by a "woke" individual who is deliberately trying to deceive people.
Then he just wrote to me a few minutes ago "If you look in your old KJV Bible you purchased 20, 30, 40 years ago these changes will be found there, too. You can find the Isaiah 11:6 wolf laying down with the lamb deviation in ANY version of old printed Bible. And there are many more examples. I don't know how to say this without sounding like a conspiracy nut, but the enemy has been able to alter language history in the Bible and erase all evidence it once said what we all know it said. It goes beyond our natural understanding."
"The deviations are subtle right now, but enough to change context in certain verses and cause the unstable in faith to not trust the Word anymore. I've heard some have lost faith in the foundation of God's Word. Some deviations seem almost like the enemy is mocking Christians and God's Word and playing games."
What comes to my mind is the verse that says "And the enemy will perform great and mighty miracles that would deceive the very elect, if that is possible." My brothers and sisters I don't know what to make of all this except that the evil one can do things that are beyond our understanding.
